getting faster

Turning over is getting closer.

This is how they work together. Chris made that piece of foam but it is a bit small.

nice coving. Two layers of EDB 400 laminated on this today.

Pre-glueing is needed because it is not easy keep lifting up falling fibre glass.

Transom laminating is done.

Tricky part. Put the fibre glass on a piece of cardboard and glue it, roll it and unroll it on the jig.

Coving on the temporary flange for putting the vac tape on. The pencil line is the actual shape of transom.

Nail holes are filled with epoxy.

To fix the flange, support it with using a couple of piece of foam against it. Fix them by hot glue gun.

Cabin top on starboard is shut completely.

The last deck figure today. We sanded down where the laps will be on with using a special tool..

Transom flange is done.

Topside flange is done and forward side of the topside doesn't need to be done because it can be reached by hand with enough room after the deck goes on.

Coving is done, which is temporary for vacuming.

This is the special tool for sanding the overlap, we've lost it though.

This is what I have done today. Three pieces of fore-aft floor are fitted and coved and EDB 400 tape was laminated on the corner between collision bulkhead and hull inside. One layer of carbon uni and one layer of fibre glass on it will be laminated on this floor. The thing is to adjust the height as straight as I can not to make a lump or hollow on the carbon uni, which makes it weak.

What are these?

One more photo of prow tube with proper foam and small tube on it.
