Deck outside complete

We completed deck laminating today, using the other two sheets of EDB 400.

Sanding with using pneumatic sander, vacuming before dryfitting and we sanded every edge roundly with using a jig for it. Try to make the radius consistently same.

This is a mould for stanchion on each corner of stern. What is stanchion? I should have asked Chris. Chris waxed it at first.

This is a jig for the mould above. We wind the EDB up around this tube.

200 EDB went on to the bridge deck bulkhead first. Dryfitting at the moment. We made 50mm lap on cockpit side and cockpit sole.

Dylan is cutting 50mm wide carbon uni goint on around hatch.

Dryfitting 400 EDB going on carbon uni. Cut it suitably on each corner.

Cut that wrinkled part and make them overlap 50mm wide. Every lap has to be sanded down to certain depth of the layer.

The last EDB for cockpit sole is on. Cover on the hatch completely.

We are about to run out of resin so one of my classmates bring his own resin but it was enough. This product has differnt mixing ratio of 5:2 rather than 4:1, made by High modulus. The one that used it Mackay boats was 10:1. The more hardner used, the faster it goes off. It is also pretty hot meant to be a bit dangerous.

We cut tue vacume bag quite enough rather than short to have to be extended.

We can see beautiful spots and wrinkles.

Small leakeage is noticed and Tristan is trying to block it with using some vac tape.

A new vacume hose! It has a spring wire inside so it doesn't band or flat easily.
