This is a manifold for vacumming the girder, centrecase, cockpit bulkhead as well as the collision bulkhead. The gauge is up to negative 1 bar and there is a tiny pin on the guage which has to be taken off when we use this.

Using tungsten scraper and sand paper, we scraped off the glue stuck and the wood chipped off.

To make sure there is no lumps on anywhere we are going to laminate, we sand the ring frames to make it level.

Draw lines on each side of the edge on 8mm off to make it round.

Sand where the lap goes on thoroughly but not too deeply to get rid of lumps on it and to make mechanical bonding before laminating.

After laminating fibreglass on upforward of hull, we coved ring frames with using plastic bag. Stand the coving stick up at the right angle to make the bid smaller. It seems like a bit big cove for the size of rib.

The gap has to be filled up with glue because the goam can't goes around the hinge point of chine.

Waxing on the MDF painted one side which we are going to vacumn the girder and the others on. Chris explained about the wax, PVA and how it works but I couldn't really follow what he talked about.

why the infusion didn't go well:
Gone even too well was the problem. The green things like a web for making the glue goes evenly on the surface helps the suction goes to well so that the infusion didn't go evenly. One more thing to be prepared is using spiral shape tube instead of simply tube, which makes the suction slow.


The direction of the blade of coping saw has to be the way being pulled, which is fair enough when I used it.
