We did another lofting which was 1:10 scale of a round bildge 7.5 dinghy in the drawing room today. Buying a scale rule, I bought the gougeon brothers on boat construction, a compass as well. As we have had one time lofting experience, it went well that we could easily think about the sequence and process. The difficult thing about the lofting today was to hold the batten thightly. We used 'duck' instead of nails to fix the batten and the batten today was not a wooden one, but a plastic one. It was way thinner and more flexible than the ones that we used last few days. It has still strong elasticity, so that I almost had to be lying on ducks to push them down and drew lines. Time went fly today. I was so concentrated on my work as the other mate was so. There was a drawing room with drawing tables for the exactly same purpose of above at my university, but unfortunately I did not use it because our design practice changed into using Autocad and C++ program(for making codes for the fair curve) from lofting.
Spring comes and the Rugby Worldcup is beginning this friday. We are going to Mt.Eden stadium to watch the opening ceremony! and also the kick off match between All Blacks and Tonga! I hope it will be a good time for my wife and me. Kia ora!
