Term 4 began.

The right one is a sketch for cutting out excessed foam of top deck against the small long bit along the cockpit side. The left one is a jig for transferring where the transom goes up to on inside the hull using similar concept to above

We have to bevel this edge.

The angle of the small long bit changes going up forward as it gets stiffer. We chose to cut it plumb.

Trasfer with the jig where the edge of each section goes on to the deck.

Then do spiling planking.

Cut by hand roughly at first put it on again.

The excess deck will be cut along the line below this piece of wood. We have to think about the concopt of the flange which will meet with the underside of deck.

Dummy running.

This is a jig support for the flange jig. Scrap out wider than the thickness of hull hang it on the edge so it can moves.

A sketch of the sectional view of laminating along the transom, hull and deck. We can see how they are connecting.

Cut the foam neatly to work easily behind the bridge deck bulkhead.

The spiling plank before was to wide so it is change.

Tristan is making flange jigs.

On going(3 pieces so far)

Lance is making them with using jig saw on the other side.

Hang them all on topside.

Make the angle bigger outside than inside so it is allowed to move freely.

Use a batten along the point we picked up with using the jig, cut it out and finished by sanding. The tricky point is where the strip meets to the bridgedeck bulkhead.

cutting the strip(the small long bit).

on going

this jig is set up with clamps and it will be fixed with using screws later on.

glued up the pieces of foam on starboard stern of deck.

the other side ones

the last figure of today. We coved the collision bulkhead as well.

We couldn't fill the middle of it because of a nail for fixing up the collision bulkhead. We fill it out later on.

nice and neat

Andrew has sanded the deck the day after we had vacation.
